AP Transco Metering Guideline for Captive Solar Plants

AP Transco has come up with the metering guideline for captive solar plants. The meters used should be of 0.2 s class accuracy. The captive generators can sell the power through an open access third party or to group captive consumers. The cross subsidy charges will not be applicable, if the group captive consumers consume more than 51% of the total generation. Any unscheduled power injected by the solar captive power plant is considered as inadvertent power. The settlement of schedule power will be done as per the prevailing open access regulations. The meters will be installed on the HV side of the solar generator transformer in the project switchyard. The project proponents are also required to monitor auxiliary consumption and captive consumption through a tri-vector meter of .2 s accuracy class meters.
