25-6-2014, DLF City Club, Gurgaon : First Green Consulting and Green power Monitor Jointly conducted a Workshop on Solar PV plant performance Monitoring. There was gathering of 23 participants. Participant from prestigious organizations like JK lakshmi cement limited, Worldbank, Lanco, MMEPL, Interoean shipping India limited, Hanergy, MNIT Jaipur, Fortum, Mahindra EPC, GMR Energy and TERI have attended the workshop. We would like to present a bundle of thanks to all participants for taking part in the event and make it successful.
Firstgreen consulting has been organizing workshops on the various topics associated with the solar market. But, this workshop was different than our previous workshops. Since, previous workshops were on Solar PV system sizing, project management, project financing and more. All those topics were sharing information required during the planning or implementation phase. However, in this workshop we discussed about post commissioning picture of a solar PV plant.
Workshop was started at 10 a.m. Opening speech was delivered by Mr. Gaurav Sharma (Representing Firstgreen). He introduced organization corporate profile, speaker and shared the idea, how Firstgreen has conceived this workshop.
Further, Dr. Sanjay Vashishtha took the charge and explained the necessity of the solar PV plant monitoring and the three basic approaches namely reactive, preventive and condition base. Along with this, he also explained the basis structure of the solar PV plant and the core basics of solar PV design.
After then, Mr. Albert has enlightened the global best practices of solar PV plant monitoring system. he has explained the data acquisition system along with the mobile interactive software and tools which are very useful for the solar monitoring. This session included lots of interaction of the participants.
Further, after lunch, Mr. Sandeep Mittal has taken the O&M issues, common problems while designing a solar PV plant, and also shared the field experiences.
The last session was taken By Dr. Sanjay. In this session, he explained the step by step approach to conduct a solar PV plant performance assessment. He explained about the preparation needs to be done before conducting a site visit, equipments required on the site, data gathering, sorting and further analyzing it.
After this session, there was a questions answer session, in which participants have cleared many questions and cleared their doubts.
