APERC has approved procurement of 500 MW in the state of Telangana through competitive bidding
The Telangana government is now focusing on the sun to fulfill its energy demands. The geographical condition of the state gives nearly 300 days of sunshine each year which is more enough to harvest solar power, After the Telangana southern and northern power distribution companies have decided to go ahead with a proposal to set up a 500 MW capacity solar power plant in Adilabad district, now it is approved by the APERC also. Andhra Pradesh electricity regulatory commission (APERC) approved for the proposal of TSSPDL for procurement of 500 MW solar power in the state of telangana through competitive bidding route.
The letter vided by the TS Secretariat of energy department dated 18.07.2014 has issued directions to TSTRANSCO to initiate action for calling tenders of 500 MW solar power through competitive bidding process, for its first phase.
