Which solar Rooftop PV system is right for homes ?

First of all let us categorize the homes into 3 parts; Small, Medium and Large Homes.

  • The smaller homes would have a roof area of average 16 to 18 SQ.M which would give a power output of the range 1.75 kW – 2.0 kW (2300 kW/annum – 3215 kW/annum). With this power obtained from solar there can be usage of Lights, TV, DVD player, microwave, kettle, Fridge, computer and washing machine.
  • The medium homes would have a roof area of average 18 to 40 SQ.M which would give a power output of the range 2.0 kW – 4.0 kW (2628 kW/ annum – 6424 kW/ annum). With this power obtained from solar there can be usage of all the equipments as in the small homes and dryers.
  • The large homes would have a roof area of average 40 – 50 SQ.M which would give a power output of the range 4.0 kW – 5.0 kW (5256 kW/annum – 8030 kW/annum). With this power obtained from solar there can be usage of standard air conditioners along with the use of the equipments used for small and medium homes.

 

Basic observations needed for installation of solar panels in buildings:

For the knowledge of the client it is explained to him that based on the requirements of the panels on the roof, the total weight of the panels is provided to him as a report. Further it is now needed how much weight would be needed for that much amount of kW’s. The queries of architectural, structural matter are to be accommodated for the design. The data of the wind load of the area is also to be incorporated. Based on this design is to be created and processed until further response from the client side.
