Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMS) organised a pre-bid meeting here on Monday, wherein there was substantial participation from developers, both from within and outside the country. RUMS have successfully issued draft agreements for the project. Selection of the developer will be through Reverse Auction Mechanism for which timelines have already been issued which are: last date for procurement of bid December 02, 2016, due date for submission December 05, 05, 2016, Proposal opening for Qualification December 06, 2016, financial proposal opening December 07, 2016 and Reverse auction process December 12, 2016.

The project is one of the largest 750 solar power plants in the world. It is a joint venture of Solar Energy Corporation of India (a premier agency of GoI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (the nodal agency for renewable energy in the State of Madhya Pradesh).Land of 1380 hectare (approx.) is in the possession of the company. 400 X 220 kV Inter-State Transmission substation (PGCIL) and 220 X 33 kV internal evacuation sub-stations (MPPTCL) are being constructed on the site. The procured power will be purchased by Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd. (MPPMC) & Delhi Metro Railway Corporation.

The purpose of the pre-bid meeting was to discuss project related activities and different agreements issued. Queries raised by the participating developers, which were clarified by the officers of RUMS, MPPMC, DMRC, IFC & World Bank.

Companies, namely, Aditya Birla Management Co Pvt Ltd, ACME Solar Energy Pvt Ltd, AMPL Cleantech Pvt Ltd, Azure power, BPL Energy Pvt. Ltd, Climate care, DMRC, Enrich Energy Pvt Ltd, Il&FS, KEC International Ltd, L&T Construction-power transmission and Distribution, Light Source Renewable Energy ltd, Mahindra, Mytrah, Orange Renewable, Ostro Energy Pvt Ltd, OPG Renewable Energy, Rattan India Solar Ltd., Savitri Empire., Sambcorp Green Infra, Soft bank Energy, Sky power, Solairedirect Energy India Pvt. Ltd., Sterling and Wilsone pvt Ltd, Susten by Mahindra,  Today Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., Trilegal, Ujaas, Waaree Energies Ltd. etc were key participants in the Pre-Bid meeting.

Further, Companies’ representatives AK Gupta (DMRC), Surya Choudhary (EESL), Narendra kumar Sharma (MPPMCL), Pankaj Gupta, Surbhi Goyal (World Bank) and officials from EESl, PGCIL, DMRC, MPPMCL, and World Bank were also present.
