ROBOT TO CLEAN NTPC DADRI SOLAR PANELS

The robotic dry cleaning of solar panels (Modules) has been implemented at NTPC Dadri in association with NETRA, the Centre for R&D in NTPC for the first time in India which enables saving water and manpower” said SK Sinha, group general manager, NTPC Dadri .

Sinha further said that the integrated solar thermal hybrid plant is under process for installation at NTPC Dadri. This hybrid plant is an R&D project developed by NETRA.  It is the first of its kind in India in which solar thermal energy will be utilised to heat feed water and it will enhance the efficiency of thermal power plant.

Sharing with the media persons Sinha mentioned about 07 NTPC Swarn Shakti Awards for excellence in performance in various areas of plant operation and services and overall champion trophy.

Sinha added that the safety of employees and workers is our prime concern. Safety awareness programmes are regularly organised to aware the employees and workers to use safety gadgets at their work places. The social and developmental activities in nearby areas are being organised through CSR. As part of improvement in environment a total of 17,42000 trees have been planted in the plant vicinity. The Ash Mound (Eco Park) has been developed by using fly ash discharged from the power station. The greenery and medicinal plants have been developed on Ash Mound. The fly ash is also being used for filling of land and manufacture of ash bricks and other related products.
