LEED Homes
LEED for Homes is a voluntary rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. This presentation discusses the basics of the LEED for Homes Rating System, including benefits and the local delivery system. Integrative Project Planning requires you to conduct a preliminary meeting with the LEED Green Rater and key members of your project team early in the design process.
Procedure for LEED Homes Certification
Registration with certification body
Register your project by providing basic project information and submitting payment.
Verify
Verify your project milestones and achievements through the on-site verification process with a LEED Green Rater. You will need to provide the necessary information, calculations and documentation to your Green Rater.
Submit your application
Submit your LEED application to the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) for review.
Final certification
Once all the review replies are satisfied by the USGBC review team, the building is awarded appropriate certification based on the credits approved.
