LEED Certification of DLF Plaza Tower

We have brought together the architects, building designers, and technology specialists to retrofit the existing buildings. Firstgreen has worked on some of the best projects of India such as LEED Platinum Volume project of DLF group which has been approved by USGBC as a part of country’s first LEED EBOM volume project. The DLF Plaza Tower, DLF IBM Tower, DLF Mall of India , DLF Cyber Greens, DLF Plaza tower, Ericssion, DLF Square are some of our LEED Platinum rated buildings from USGBC. We have also registered the green building projects through GRIHA as well as IGBC.

Overview

DLF Plaza Tower is certified with a ‘LEED Platinum’ certification from United States Green Building Council (USGBC) under Existing Building Operation and Maintenance category (EBOM).  The certification is awarded to the ones whose work is helping to expand sustainability in the building sector. Firstgreen has acted as the green building consultant for the certification of this building. With this Firstgreen has got credit of 38 LEED platinum certified buildings with USGBC.

  • Energy efficient air-conditioning system with about 26% less energy consumption.
  • Ventilation fans coupled with CO sensors in car parking.
  • Sequencing batch reactor for waste water treatment with latest technology.
  • Organic waste converter for wet garbage which is turned to compost for horticulture.
  • Automatic curtain sensors in the windows/façade are installed to control the building heat gain.
  • Chillled water pumps with high efficiency are used.

Procedure for LEED CErtification

Step-1

Registration with USGBC

The building is registered with USGBC green building certification portal

Step-2

Data collection during the performance period

The building data is collected during the performance period related to Energy, Water, IEQ, Material, and Waste management

Step-3

Review of documentation by USGBC

USGBC closely review all the documentation and the credits are awarded as per their norms.

Step-4

Final certification

Once all the review replies are satisfied by the USGBC review team, the building is awarded appropriate certification based on the credits approved.
