SIDBI provides fundings for Energy Efficiency & Green Building Projects

Recently <strong>Small Industrial Development Bank of India</strong> (<strong>SIDBI</strong>) announced to provide all Financial assistances at concessional interest rates to all Energy Efficiency Projects in MSME Sectors including Green Buildings which also result in substantial energy savings. For a project to be eligible for coverage under Green Building it should be either ECBC Compliant or rated by any accredited Green Building rating agency in India including <strong>GRIHA & IGBC</strong>.As a part of promoting & supporting MSMEs for adopting energy Saving Technologies & green production practices this big initiative was taken by SIDBI as per their source’s info.
This big step which is taken by SIDBI really boosts the Green Building Sector & Energy Efficiency sectors as well. After this many people including Big Industrialists will come forward to do this type of Project. This helps MSMEs acquire, install, lease or rent energy saving equipment or facilities. SIDBI launched a new scheme “Sustainaible Finance Scheme” for this.SIDBI already tied up with BEE to create Energy Efficiency & Green Technologies in all the sectors including MSMEs. SIDBI is also now focused more on Energy Conservation & Savings in Building Industries.
Basically to promote Energy Conservation & Energy Savings in MSME sectors & also in Buildings Sector this Organization comes forward to provide financial assistance.They have been providing financial support to green buildings certified by Accredited agencies like GRIHA & IGBC by offering concessional rate of interest presently 50 basis points.
